About me
Sadie's love for art began in grade school. Every few months her mom would excuse her and her three siblings from school and take them to the Carnegie Museum (a proud, life long Yinzer over here). While most fourth graders would run to the giant dinosaurs, Sadie was always pulled to the Art portion. Sadie's mom would reserve the headphone sets that detailed the life of the artist or the subject depicted. Sadie felt like she was let into a secret world of wonder, drama, and fantasy. That feeling never left.
Sadie went on to pursue her own expression of art, through theater. She attended Point Park University and earned a BFA in Theater Arts (Class of '23). There she trained in acting, curated her directing skills, and began her journey as a playwright.
Since graduating, Sadie spent a summer training with Thomas Prattki at arthaus.berlin. As a student, Sadie studied embodiment and the art of the mask.
Now as a resident of New York City, Sadie continues to look for her community. She thrives while creating New Works and looks for more experimental challenges. Sadie believes that the best productions happen when collaboration is encouraged from all those involved. Theater cannot exist without a strong foundation of trust, amongst the creative team and also with the outside community.
